That is why we are also pleased that, in addition to our MPS certificates GAP, SQ and GRASP, we have obtained the Planetproof certificate since this year. We are the 30the ornamental grower with a PlanetProof certificate!
What is On the way to PlanetProof?
The independent quality mark On the way to PlanetProof proves that you buy a product that has been produced more sustainable and therefore better for nature, environment, climate and animals. With “On the way to PlanetProof”, farmers and growers strive to balance their way of working with the carrying capacity of our planet. In this process we take further steps to reduce the burden on our planet‘On the way to…’On the way to PlanetProof focuses on five areas in the floriculture:
Water
- Efficient water usage
- Storage and re-usage of water
- Clean water: prevent that crop protection and fertilizers get into the ground and the surface water
Soil, landscape & biodiversity
- Creation of blooming herb or flower borders around plots
- Provide nesting facilities for birds, bees, etc.
- Maintaining the fertility of the soil
- Efficient usage of fertilizers
- Stimulation of biological and mechanical fertilizing of diseases and pests

- Limit the light pollution from greenhouses
Climate
